Schader family papers, 1831-1969.

This collection includes correspondence, legal records, financial papers, grocery business records, and photographs of the Conrad Joseph Schader family of Little Rock. It spans several generations, beginning with Schader's baptismal in 1831, but focuses on the family and business activities of Charles Henry Schader, son of Conrad Joseph and Frances Schader. Typical of an early family business, the records and affairs of the family and the business overlap a great deal; so much so, they are essentially as one. The grocery store and Charles H. Schader family residence was at 1600 Cross for decades. The store was closed in the late 1960s. Includes a Knights of Columbus ledger (1888-1897).
